Resistance&#8230; is futile. Your life as it has been&#8230; is over. From this time forward&#8230; you will service&#8230; us.&#8221; Well it didn&#8217;t come to happen and the Captain eventually returned to comand of the Enterprise. In later episodes the Borg were defeated.<\/p>\n<p>You can see where this is going. A seemingly unstopable adversary with a mission to assimilate all cultures into a single minded entity, (read liberals) turning every species they encountered into Borg &#8220;drones&#8221; (liberals again) was eventually defeated by the aptly named &#8220;Enterprise&#8221; and the resourcefullness of free thinking individuals, and the Captain returned to command his ship.<\/p>\n<p>\u00c2\u00a0Borg=liberals &#8211; \u00c2\u00a0liberals=Borg!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A modern day parable.
